I have a real soft spot for Dachshunds, my little guy Gavin is my best bud.He even has his image on B+B tees, it's always a crazy feeling when I see one being worn in the streets.
Anyway, back to the bottle opener.
I am always looking for these and it is shocking how expensive they have gotten over the years- there are some real dachshund aficionados out there who collect everything.
This is a vintage brass bottle opener measuring 4.25" long, not too much bigger than my Gavin :)
This piece is not marked, so I cannot tell if it is the original Walter Bosse model.
A handsome, natural patina has developed over time.
